Hubballi, Karnataka: In a welcome move for passengers, the popular Jan Shatabdi Express train connecting Hubballi and Bengaluru will now operate from platform number two, starting March 1st, 2024. Previously, the train inconveniently departed from platform six of the third gate, located over a kilometer away from the main entrance.

This shift brings much-needed relief, especially for senior citizens, women, pregnant individuals, and children who faced difficulties navigating the long distance, often resorting to hiring luggage trolleys at an unreasonable cost. Pralhad Joshi, the Dharwad MP, championed the issue, highlighting the public’s demand for trains towards Gadag and Haveri to operate from platforms one or two instead of distant ones.

While the Jan Shatabdi’s platform change is a positive step, passengers and public urge the need for all trains towards Gadag and Haveri to depart from the main entrance platforms for further convenience. His announcement regarding the Jan Shatabdi’s shift was made on social media, garnering appreciation from the public.

This change signifies a positive response to passenger concerns and demonstrates the railway’s commitment to improving travel experiences. The move is expected to streamline traffic flow and enhance accessibility for passengers, particularly those with mobility limitations.
